ELECTRICITY
Texas is a deregulated electric state. This allows Rice residents to choose from at least 40 electric utility providers for their home. Below is a short list of the most used electricity providers (these are provided for your convenience and are in no way endorsed or associated with The City of Rice, we advise you to do your research before choosing a provider).
WATER
Rice residents are served by Rice Water Supply, an independent water supply company, committed to providing clean, safe water for all our residents. Have questions or concerns regarding your water service? Call: (903) 326-5551
SANITATION & RECYCLING
The City of Rice contracts with Republic Services collection and recycling. Everyone within the city limits is required to have garbage collection.

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. If assistance is needed or you have questions for the city, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The City of Rice offers large RECYCLING bins across the street from Rice City Hall for residents. Please remember the bins are for clean, recyclable items only. KEEP RICE CLEAN
U.S. POST OFFICE
If you are a new resident, remember to update your mailing address with the Post Office. There are also Post Office boxes available at our full service post office.
